The movies themselves may not always be great, but the experience at SMG (Studio Movie Grill) is always good. When you order your tickets, you select the seats you will sit in. This used to be a very foreign idea, but now it makes total sense. You get to sit where you want in the theater and skip the purchase of the show if seats that are acceptable to your liking aren’t available. We usually purchase online, they have a reliable website…
SMG is has a nice bar area and open seating for dining. If you left a little early from home or work, and its too early to walk into the show, grab a drink at the ultra clean and modern bar area. Lots of tables and spots for relaxing.
When your theater is available for your show, you walk in to this spacious room full of big, wide leather seats. Each seat has a swiveling table that kind of reminds you of the flap on the other side of an airplane seat, but its perfect for your snacks, meal and drinks…
Once you find your seat, you’ll spend time thumbing through the available cocktails, beer and drinks along with a good variety of lunch and dinner options. Now, the food there isn’t great, but there are some decent options. Personally, I enjoy their fish and chips and salad options. I’m really there for a blue moon and a movie though. There are a lot of waiters and staff, you’ll get plenty of attention if you need it.
Overall, SMG is a great option for date night, especially if you don’t quite have a whole lot of time. You can get a drink, a meal and a movie all in the same place. Pretty slick.
